Pumpkinfest Run 5K - South Lyon
The Pumpkinfest Run 5K takes place on September 26, 2026 at Island Lake State Recreation Area and uses the established South Lyon cross country course along the shores of Kent Lake. The route follows the park's cross country layout and runs over grass; the course will have a painted line and multiple marshals positioned along the route.
Support and services for participants include professional timing, on-course marshals, post-race refreshments, and a tech shirt. Awards are distributed by age group and by gender. Each participant also receives tickets redeemable at the Pumpkinfest festival, which in 2026 is located at Bartlett Elementary in South Lyon. Complimentary race photos will be provided via an online link after the event.
Registration opens June 18, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026; the registration fee is $25. Registration and packet pick up begin at 7:45 AM at the blue tent on the Kent Lake beach.
