South Coast Ultra Challenge
The event takes place on 4 to 5 Sept 2027 along the South Downs Way, starting in Eastbourne. The route passes Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, reaches Brighton about halfway, continues past Devil’s Dyke and finishes near Arundel for the full 100 km course. The field is sized for about 2,000 participants.

Support and logistics are provided throughout the route. Rest stops appear approximately every 12.5 km with major stops at about 25, 50, 75 and 100 km. Snack stops occur every 12.5 km and a meal is provided approximately every 25 km; hot drinks, water and energy drinks are available at all stops. Rest stops are covered and include toilets, medics, changing rooms and baggage pick-up.
The route is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks at night, and a timing system scans progress at rest stops. An event app offers GPS tracking, route maps, training guides, and on-the-day information. Medical support includes doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists and masseuses, with roaming teams and a self-help area at stops.
Options and services include a Base Camp camping package for the full challenge over two days with hot showers and chill-out areas, shuttle transfers and finish-line facilities.
