About the race

SOS - Middle Cove is a school‑ground orienteering event in the Saturday Orienteering Series held at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School, 5a Glenroy Avenue, Middle Cove NSW 2068. Term 4 events use school campuses with fast courses, tight turns, complex buildings, and varied map detail to create short, decision‑focused runs. Courses offered include Warm Up, Short Line, Long Line, Score, and a weekly social relay for teams of two to four runners; entrants may run multiple courses on the day. Social relays are included in the one entry and the organiser can match solo participants with a team mate if needed.

SPORTident electronic timing is used for all courses; timing card hire is available for A$4 per entrant. Standard entry fees are Adults A$18 and School Students A$15. A member discount of 15% applies for members, and orienteering club members can claim the member discount using the promo code "ONSW" at checkout. A A$2 late fee applies for entries submitted after the midday deadline on the Thursday before the event.

Prices include GST and merchant fees. A free Buddy Ticket is available for adults accompanying a young or inexperienced orienteer; Buddy Ticket holders do not receive a personal timing chip or map. Parking guidance advises not to park in Glenroy Avenue and to use the west side of Eastern Valley Way, then cross and use the pedestrian passageway beside the bus stop. What3Words location is ///punks.wacky.urgent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
