About the race
Snowbasin by UTMB is set at Snowbasin Resort in the Northern Wasatch, with ridgelines, forested slopes, and views stretching toward the Great Salt Lake. The venue centers on lift-accessible alpine terrain and spectator-friendly areas around a meeting hub called Meet at the Moose.
On race day, flowing, runnable trails move through sagebrush, aspen groves, evergreen forest, and open mountain terrain. The elevation profile is described as challenging yet achievable, with climbs that open to panoramic views and terrain that rewards pacing and rhythm.
Two main race options are listed:
- 58K: reported distance 59 km, elevation gain 1800 m+
- 28K: reported distance 29 km, elevation gain 800 m+
The weekend experience blends mountain and metro. The race start is minutes from Ogden, where historic 25th Street and the local outdoor community offer dining and live music. The event emphasizes a community atmosphere rooted in local outdoor culture and Snowbasin’s mountain setting.
Snowbasin by UTMB participates in UTMB Community Bibs through the IRONMAN Foundation. Community Bibs direct half of certain registration proceeds to a local charity chosen by the race team and support trail stewardship and local organizations. Registrations are noted as opening on 12th September 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
