Snowbasin by UTMB is set at Snowbasin Resort in the Northern Wasatch near Ogden, Utah, with views extending toward the Great Salt Lake. The venue combines lift-accessible, spectator-friendly mountain terrain and a nearby urban center framed by ridgelines, forested slopes, and open alpine terrain.
On race day, flowing, runnable trails cross sagebrush, aspen groves, evergreen forest, and open mountain sections. The elevation profile is described as challenging yet achievable and rewards rhythm, strategy, and sustained effort as climbs open panoramic views. A central gathering place inspired by a moose statue serves as a mid-mountain hub for runners, families, and supporters.

- 58K: 59 km; 1800 m+ elevation gain.
- 28K: 29 km; 800 m+ elevation gain.
The weekend connects mountain and metro life: Ogden, minutes from the start, offers dining, live music, and an outdoor community centered on historic 25th Street. The event also includes UTMB Community Bibs, a charitable option run through The IRONMAN Foundation; half of those registration funds go to a local charity selected by the race team and donations support local organizations and trail stewardship programs.
