Buffalo Run Trail Race
The Buffalo Run Trail Race is scheduled for March 13, 2027 on Antelope Island, near Syracuse, Utah at 4528 W 1700 S. The event is a spring trail running festival held on public park land with natural features that include sweeping views of the Great Salt Lake, rolling singletrack through desert grasslands, and herds of wild bison that roam the course.
The event began in 2006 with about 150 runners in the 25K and 50K distances and has since expanded to multiple distances. Organizers list three race options and published entry fees for each distance. Park participant and special use permit fees have increased, and those permit fee increases are cited as a reason for higher event entry prices; the permit fee revenue supports wildlife research, animal care, and construction of a new visitor center.
