SMA Fun Run 2026
The Silvermine Academy Fun Run 2026 uses the theme "Body Beats" to focus on movement, health and community on local trails. The event takes place at Silvermine Academy, 44 Brigantine Avenue, Sun Valley, Cape Town, and starts and finishes at the school.
All event proceeds are allocated to the Silvermine Academy Bursary Fund to support student education. The routes pass through the Sun Valley Wetlands and nearby green belts. Students and teachers from Silvermine Academy will marshal the course together with the Fish Hoek Athletics Club.
Registration is located at the main entrance on Brigantine Road in the school parking area. Organisers plan water points and waste bins along the routes and note the sensitivity of the wetland environment.
Post-run activities include a market and music on the school grounds. The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5 km route through Sun Valley Dunes and Wetlands Trail, returning via Brigantine Road.
- 10 km route through Sun Valley Wetlands and greenbelt, passing local landmarks and returning to the school.
