Sleigh It (12hr / 6hr / 4.17 Miler / 12hr Relay)
The Sleigh It event takes place in Lake Wales, Florida, at Lake Wailes Park. Organized by Ultra Ultras Events, the race features a course consisting of 4.17 mile loops on a combination of grass and asphalt paths. The layout is an out and back format where participants start at the central Runners Village, head east to a turnaround, return past the village to a western turnaround, and finally return to the central point.
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 12 Hour Individual: Complete as many laps as possible within the 12 hour limit.
- 12 Hour Relay: Teams of up to 5 members where one person runs at a time.
- 6 Hour Individual: Complete as many laps as possible within the 6 hour limit.
- 4.17 Miles: A single loop of the course.
The Runners Village serves as the primary hub and provides grilled food throughout the day, including pancakes, bacon, hamburgers, hot dogs, and smoked meats. Regular aid station supplies such as soda, pickles, and snack bars are also provided, with additional aid stations located at each end of the out and back sections.
The event is limited to 100 entrants. All participants receive a long-sleeve shirt. For individual timed races, runners must finish their final lap before the time limit expires for it to count toward their total. Relay teams must complete at least 8 laps to receive a finish award. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the individual distances, as well as masters awards for runners over 40 and prizes for the top two relay teams.
