Six Dales Circuit
The Six Dales Circuit is a 25-mile route in the White Peak that starts and finishes at Biggin Village Hall (SK17 0DL, grid ref SK155592, what3words apply.darker.lamppost). The route visits Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale, Hartington, Monyash, Lathkill Dale, Bradford Dale, Middleton and Long Dale.
The event includes snacks and drinks at three checkpoints, a meal at the finish, a route description and a certificate. Entrants should expect staffed checkpoints and the possibility of retirements at checkpoints only.
Entry is limited to 200 places and a waiting list operates when the event is full. Entry fees are shown as LDWA member £12.00 and non member £20.00. Refunds of 60% are offered for cancellations received up to two weeks before the event, and entries may be transferred to another participant through the event system.
Required equipment listed for the event includes waterproofs, map OL24, compass, route description, mug, whistle and torch. All entrants must use the free car park provided as directed by event marshals and must not park on roads or verges. Dogs are permitted on short leads but are not allowed in the village halls; owners must hold pet owner liability insurance and are responsible for any damage.
