Siskiyou Out Back Trail Running Festival 2027
The Siskiyou Out Back is a three day trail running festival held on Mt Ashland in the Siskiyou Mountains of southern Oregon. The event is organized as a nonprofit and directs proceeds to local nonprofit organizations; the festival reports over $200,000 donated in the past ten years. Weekend activities include a pre-race expo in Lithia Park, a vendor village with food trucks and live music, and event activations at Rogue Valley Runners.
Race offerings span multiple distances:
- Brink 100: 100 miles, town to summit, about 23,000 feet climbing
- 100K: 100 kilometers, PCT and Split Rock sections, finishes at Mt Ashland Lodge
- 50K: 50 kilometers, out and back on the Pacific Crest Trail, finishes at Mt Ashland
- 15K: 15 kilometers, PCT to Willamette Meridian and return via Road 20
- 8K: 8 kilometers, Road 20 to Grouse Gap then PCT return
- Kids race
Most aid stations are full service and stocked with electrolyte drink, gels, water, snacks and other supplies. Race rules note no pacers except for the Brink 100, limited crew vehicle access on Road 20 past the Lodge, and permitted use of trekking poles on the Brink 100, 100K and 50K.
