Lithia Loop Trail Marathon overview
The event takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026 in Ashland, Oregon, with start and finish in Lithia Park. Three distance options are offered:
- Marathon
- Mini-Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K Trail Run
The course circumnavigates the Ashland watershed and accumulates about 7,200 feet of elevation change. Surfaces are mainly dirt roads and trails with approximately two miles of asphalt.
The Mini-Marathon and 10K follow the Loop course for part of the route before deviating onto local trails. The 10K runners use the Wonder Trail to return to Lithia Park. Mini-Marathon runners continue past Lower Horn Gap Road, take Rickety Trail up to the 2060 Road junction, then return via 2060 and upper Wonder trail to Lithia Park.
Facilities include parking and bathrooms in Lithia Park. There are five staffed aid stations offering SKRATCH electrolyte drink and energy gels. Two designated crew meeting locations are noted on the course at mile 20 Four Corners and mile 23 White Rabbit trailhead; participants must choose one location.
Entry is limited to the first 300 runners. Listed fee ranges cover early and regular registration periods: marathon about $100 to $120, mini about $60 to $80, and 10K about $40 to $70. A commemorative Lithia Loop keepsake and post race memento and beverages are provided. Packet pick up is available Friday 3pm to 6pm at Rogue Valley Runners and on race day at the band shell; shirts are not guaranteed. The event notes an approximate time limit of six hours. Awards for overall male and female winners are presented after the race near the start. Volunteers are requested to support the event. The closest airport is Medford Oregon MFR, about a 20 minute drive from downtown Ashland. Hotel options are listed locally in Ashland. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
