Silver Sands Coastal Trail Race

The Silver Sands Coastal Trail Race takes place in Aberdour on 04 Oct 2026 and is a pre-entry event organised by Nuts Trail Races. The race is described as novice friendly and welcomes all abilities.

The course is approximately 4 miles, out-and-back on the Fife Coastal Path between Silver Sands and Burntisland. The path is well established and is mainly good quality trail with some tarred sections. The route is fairly flat with a few gentle undulations, passes through wooded areas and offers sea views.

Race HQ and number collection are at the Beach Ranger's Office adjacent to the public toilet block at Silver Sands Beach (postcode KY3 0XB). There are no changing facilities. Entrants are allowed free parking at the Silver Sands Public Car Park during the event if their vehicle registration number was entered during registration; otherwise parking charges apply. The Beach Front Car Park is reserved for cafe customers and disabled visitors only.

All finishers receive a race medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers and to first male and female in age categories Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 and Over 70. Spot prizes will also be offered. Entry fee is £12.00 and total places are limited to 100. The event is held under Association of Running Clubs rules and may be altered or rescheduled in case of severe weather.
