Sidmouth Four Trigs

The Sidmouth Four Trigs is a low key off road trail race around Sidmouth that requires runners to visit four trig points in sequence: Weston Cliff, Buckton Hill, Beacon Hill and High Peak. The course is a loop that starts and finishes at the flagpole opposite the Watersports Hub, Sidmouth EX10 8BG.

The route covers approximately 27 km (17 miles) with about 3999 ft of total ascent. Participants may choose their own line between trig points but must visit each trig in order; excessive road use is strongly discouraged. In addition to the four trigs, there are a few extra checkpoints on the course. Marshals will be positioned at locations including the Donkey Sanctuary, Sidbury, White Cross and Four Elms.

Registration and race number pickup take place at the Watersports Hub. Facilities at the Watersports Hub include toilet and shower facilities and refreshments. The event is restricted to people aged 18 or older and dogs are not permitted.

All profits from the race are donated to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), an organisation that works on awareness, screening and research to help prevent young sudden cardiac deaths and supports affected families. All finishers receive a locally made Welsh slate coaster. Runners who complete the specified series of three events in 2027 are eligible to receive a commemorative set of coasters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
