SRT - Shawangunk Ridge Trail Run
The Shawangunk Ridge Trail Run is a trail event centered on the Shawangunk Ridge near Rosendale, New York. It offers three divisions over sections of the Shawangunk Ridge Trail, a 70-mile route that runs from High Point State Park in New Jersey to the town of Rosendale, ending just beyond a restored railroad trestle 140 feet above the Rondout Creek.
The ridge route passes rolling hills, wetlands, rare dwarf pine barrens, sky lakes, waterfalls, and white conglomerate cliffs. Some viewpoints rise about 2,000 feet above the Hudson Valley with long-distance views across multiple states. The event highlights the ridgeline and its conservation value.

The course is a rugged, well-blazed hiking trail with rocky sections, squeezes, and scrambles. The event is minimally supported: participants must carry their own food and water purification and cannot rely on external resupply. Organizers provide shuttle service and parking in Rosendale only; parking at Sam's Point and Minnewaska State Park Preserve is not permitted.
There are multiple checkpoint time cutoffs and mandatory checkpoint checks. Support restrictions include no pacers, no support crew, no drop bags, and no resupply caches. Registered participants receive event tech shirts, finishers medals, a special barefoot badge option, and awards; 70-mile finishers receive completion certificates.
