Sedin vs. Sedin 2026 : Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver

Sedin vs. Sedin takes place on September 27, 2026 at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver. The event opens with a head to head race between the Sedin competitors up the Grouse Grind trail, followed by participant entry where registrants are randomly assigned to either Team Daniel or Team Henrik; team assignments are revealed at bib pick-up the week before the event.

The winning team is determined by three components: the initial head to head showdown, the Team Challenge based on the average of the top 50 Grouse Grind times from each team, and the Fundraising Faceoff by total funds raised by event day. Individual awards will also be given and further details will be shared before race day.

Registrations must be completed online in advance and fees, donations, and merchandise purchases are non-refundable. An enhanced refund protection program is available to purchase during registration. Included with registration are a commemorative race bib with timing chip, entry into a prize draw, complimentary bag transfer to the mountaintop, a finish-line aid station with hydration and snacks, live DJ music, and an awards ceremony. Event registration profits are donated to the Sedin Family Foundation.

The event operates cupless aid stations; participants should bring a refillable hydration vessel. Participants under 19 require parental or guardian consent and children 12 and under should be accompanied by a paying adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
