Sedin vs. Sedin 2026
Sedin vs. Sedin 2026 is a fundraising climb event held on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, British Columbia on September 27, 2026. The event features a head to head race between two featured competitors followed by a mass participant climb on the Grouse Grind trail. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two teams representing each competitor and will learn their team at bib pick-up the week before the event.
The overall team winner is decided by three components: the outcome of the featured head to head race, a team challenge based on the average of the top 50 climb times from each team, and a fundraising faceoff determined by total funds raised by event day. Individual prizes will also be awarded, with further details provided before race day.
On the mountaintop there is a finish celebration with a live DJ, barbecue, and an awards ceremony. Included with registration are a commemorative race bib with timing chip, entry into a prize draw, complimentary bag transfer to the mountaintop, a finish-line aid station with hydration and snacks, and live music and awards. Event registration profits are donated to the Sedin Family Foundation, which supports programs for children and families in British Columbia focused on health, education, and family wellness.
The event is cupless; participants are asked to carry a refillable hydration vessel. Registration must be completed in advance and registration fees and purchases are non-refundable. Enhanced refund protection is available to purchase during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
