Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail
The Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail is a community running event held in Sebastian, Florida on October 24, 2026. The event is based at the North County Aquatic Center (9450 County Rd. 512) and includes a 5K footrace that proceeds west from the aquatic center to I-95 and returns to the aquatic center. The event also features a Haunted Rail Trail that begins at the North County Aquatic Center and evening community activities at the same site.
Proceeds from the event support counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for local police, sheriff, fire, and EMS personnel. Each race participant receives one ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail; the haunted trail may be too intense for young children. Participants receive a Sebastian Scream T-shirt while supplies last, with a guaranteed shirt for registrations completed by October 6.
Additional features include an award for best costume and competitive awards for fastest team, top overall men and women, masters (40+) men and women, and age-group placements for both men and women in standard age divisions. Packet pick up and race-day registration are available at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach) on October 23 and 24 and at the North County Aquatic Center on October 24. Entry fee is $35 in advance and $40 on race day. There are no refunds. No masks, bags, or Halloween props are allowed on the trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
