Scafell Sky Ultra 2027

The Scafell Sky Ultra is a mountain skyrunning event located in the Central and Southern Lake District. The course covers a distance of 63 km and features a total ascent of 4400 m. The route consists of technical single-track trails and includes various ridge-lines and the highest summit in England.

Participants must navigate the mountain terrain within a maximum allowed time of 15 hours. The event is part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland. The course is fully marked and includes four supplied feed stations and manned checkpoints. Electronic timing and tracking are provided for all runners.

The event base is situated at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn, where live music is scheduled from mid-day until late evening. The registration is open to individuals aged 19 or older, and entries are not vetted. Finishers receive a seed bomb medal designed to be planted after the event.
