Remembrance Run 2027 - South
The Remembrance Day Run in Surrey is a commemorative running event held by Saturn Running at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Staines. The event observes a two minute silence during proceedings; those two minutes are removed from official finish times.
The format is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how far to run. The minimum recorded distance is 3 km. A full lap measures about 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a shorter loop depending on course conditions. The course follows a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and mixes approximately 60% well-made path or tarmac with grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes are an option for grip on softer sections.
Medals are awarded to anyone who completes at least 3 km. Additional distance pins are issued for half-marathon distance and above; available pins include Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra. A poppy pin is available for an extra £3.
Support at the venue includes an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option offered. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Members receive a £10 lower entry price and a guaranteed place plus a mini-medal pin; affiliated UK Athletics club members get a £2 discount. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines.
