Saturn Running : The Peanut Butter Run, Staines-upon-Thames
The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge held by Saturn Running beside the River Thames at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. Entry options include a range of set distances and a time-based option that lets participants control how many laps they complete. Members pay a reduced entry fee, are guaranteed entry, and receive a mini-me medal pin; UK Athletics affiliated club members receive a small additional discount. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
The course runs along a riverside stretch, is fully signed, and mainly uses well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. Road running shoes are suitable year round. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap with a selection of drinks and savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal; additional distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above. Goody bag options include a vegan choice. Toilets are available at the venue; there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. A non-secure bag drop is provided. Headphones are allowed and participants should be considerate of other public footpath users.
