Remembrance Run 2026 - South

The Remembrance Run in Staines is an event held by Saturn Running to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A two minute silence will be observed during the event and two minutes will be removed from official times.

This is a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps to complete. The minimum official finishing distance is 3 km. Lap details and common race distances include:

• 3 km minimum official finishing distance
• 5 km turn point available within the lap
• 10 km
• Half marathon (3 laps)
• Marathon (6 laps)
• 50 km
• Ultra (7 laps or more)
• Time Challenge 7 hour entry

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Approximately 60% of the loop is on well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be preferred for grip.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a commemorative medal. Distance pins are available for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. A poppy pin is available for an additional £3.

An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is provided. Toilets are available at The Last Hop; there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Members receive the lowest entry price, which is £10 lower than full price, and guaranteed entry; runners in UK Athletics affiliated clubs receive a £2 discount. A non-secure bag drop is provided.
