Remembrance Run 2026 - South
This Remembrance Day Run in Surrey, South East, commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The event includes a two minute silence during the event; those two minutes are removed from official times.
The event is run as a seven hour Time Challenge that gives participants control over how far they run. The minimum completed distance to be an official finisher is 3 km. A full lap measures 4.37 miles (7 km) and may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points. Typical lap counts are three laps for a half marathon, six laps for a marathon, seven or more laps for an ultra, and a 50 km option is available.

The course follows a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is roughly 60% well made path or tarmac with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road running shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may help on softer sections.
Finishers completing 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon, mega half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Club members of UK Athletics affiliated clubs receive a £2 discount. Saturn Running membership offers a lowest entry price £10 lower, guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin at events. A poppy pin is available for an additional £3. The venue is The Last Hop in Staines; toilets are available but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines TW18 4TP. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. A bag drop is provided but is not secure. Headphones are allowed and runners should be considerate of other public footpath users.
