Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5 & 10 K
The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run is a fundraising trail event presented by the Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County on September 12, 2026, at South Branch Farms, 5944 Reynolds Mill Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. This is the event's 15th year. The event is chip timed and offers the following distances:
- 5K trail run across farmland, woods, pastures, and streams.
- 10K trail run with climbs and a trek over the historic Howard Tunnel Rail Trail.
The course is primarily off-road with one safe road crossing and crosses Codorus Creek near the finish. Runners may encounter wildlife such as birds, deer, turkeys, foxes, coyotes, snakes, and other animals typical of the preserved landscape.
South Branch Farms is private property. The organizer requests that the course not be used before or after race day and notes the course is not marked outside the event. No animals or strollers are permitted on the course. A brisk pace is preferred; those who wish to walk or hike are asked to enter the 5K only. Attendees are encouraged to carpool if possible.
Registration opens July 1 and closes August 30. Early entry through August 30 is $35.00; late registration after August 30 is $40.00 and does not include a shirt option. Commemorative shirts are available for an additional $8.00. Early packet pick-up is offered at Fleet Feet York on September 10 and 11 at 1511 Mount Rose Avenue, York, PA.
Post-race offerings include a light lunch provided by Rockfish Hospitality, fresh fruit from Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market, adult beverage sampling for those 21 and over from Collusion Tap Works, and smoothie samples from Smoothie King of York. Every finisher receives a collectible Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run patch. Prizes are awarded to top overall finishers and to top three male and female finishers in multiple age-group categories, and random giveaways have included tickets, pies, fruit, and native plants.
