San Pasqual Valley Trail Race
The San Pasqual Valley Trail Race takes place in the San Pasqual staging lot in Escondido, California on February 20, 2027. The event is the 10th annual running of the race and is limited to 450 runners.
There are three distances offered:
- 20 Mile
- Hefty Half (13.1 miles)
- 10K
The courses run through vineyards, orange groves, and grass fields. About 75% of the route is single track. Elevation gain varies by distance, roughly 200' to 1,200' depending on the race. The Half Marathon and 20 Mile courses use an out-and-back layout that includes two summits of Raptor Ridge; the 10K is described as relatively flat.
Local vineyards provide a free wine tasting at the finish area. The Half Marathon serves as the final Championship Qualifier for that distance.
