Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k - 26 June 2027
The event takes place at Carsington Water Visitor Centre, Big Lane, Upper Town, Ashbourne DE6 1ST. Two measured races run on marked trail routes around the reservoir: a half marathon and a 10k. The half marathon has an elevation gain of 200 m. Routes use trail flags, tags, A5 arrows and signage, and marshals are positioned at major junctions. A GPX file is provided so participants can check and self navigate if needed.
Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. A secure marquee is available for baggage and any bags left at the 10k start will be transported to the finish. There will be water stations at the 5k point of the 10k and at miles 3, 6 and 9 of the half marathon, with water also available at the finish.
Practical information includes paid parking at the venue with Visitor Centre fees and Millfields Car Park fees. The 10k start and registration are at Millfields Car Park while both races finish in the main event village, a 1.3 mile walk from the 10k start. Toilets are located behind the visitor centre and in the Millfields Car Park. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams due to terrain; dogs are allowed but terrain should be considered.
