Carsington Water Trail Half Marathon & 10k
The Carsington Water Trail Half Marathon & 10k takes place on 10 April 2027 at Carsington Water in Derbyshire. The event follows an undulating trail route around the reservoir and showcases the surrounding countryside.
In spring the reservoir area offers fresh greenery, open skies and waterside views. The course runs on trail paths and includes waterside stretches as well as some climbs and descents that reflect the local terrain.
All routes are marked using trail flags and tags, A5 arrows and signage. Marshals are present at major junctions to guide participants. Organiser RunThrough provides a GPX file so participants can check the route and self-navigate if necessary. Trail routes may be affected by weather, walkers or wildlife.

Entry includes a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. The event village offers food and drink options and free partner items at the finish. An event t-shirt is available at more than 30 percent off when bought as part of an entry, with the event logo printed on the chest.
