Run to Remember: Sykesville
Run to Remember is scheduled for April 17, 2027 at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784. The event offers multiple timed and untimed options over a single loop course set in woods and meadows.
Distances
- 50K - 6 laps of the 5.25 mile loop.
- 25K - 3 laps of the 5.25 mile loop.
- 5 Miler - 1 lap of the 5.25 mile loop.
- 8 Hour Challenge - as many laps as a participant can complete.
The course is a 5.25 mile loop that runs through woods and meadows, with lake views on roughly half the loop. There are two points where runners pass a water stop, and the transition at each loop includes a well stocked aid station with a variety of food and drinks.
The event dedicates a portion of its setup to posters of lost loved ones. It is held rain or shine and all entry fees are nonrefundable. There is no race day registration. Optional apparel is available at registration.
Race fees include park entrance, a custom ice bandana, and a Run to Remember ceramic mug. Medal awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race. Packet pick up is available April 16 at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant, 20A Liberty Rd, Eldersburg MD 21784. Proceeds support the club, a youth program, and a scholarship, with a portion to the American Association for Cancer Research. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
