About the race
Run The Vines 2026 #11 at Perdeberg Wines in Paarl is part of the Run The Vines series presented by First Ascent. The event takes place alongside the Perdeberg Family Festival; each race entry includes a festival ticket valued at R199, a Perdeberg branded wine glass and 10 tastings.
Races are held on working farm terrain, so actual distances may vary slightly from the promoted distances. Timing is provided by BoutTime and participants collect a timing tag at registration; a permanent timing tag is available for R100. Waterpoints are provided on course; participants are advised to be self-sufficient for hydration. Medals are awarded to all finishers. A R50 late entry fee applies and unpaid entries are removed after three days.
On site there will be wine tasting opportunities from Perdeberg, a restaurant and a variety of food trucks. Family-friendly activities and live music are part of the festival program. The event notes that the 3 km kids distance is intended for parents accompanying children and is free for under-8s; adults running with small children should use the adult-accompanying-child class rather than the solo distances.
