Run The Farm - Herold
Run The Farm is a 12-hour trail endurance event held at Herold Wines in the Garden Route. Competitors run repeated laps of a marked mountain trail measuring 5 km per loop. The objective is to complete as many laps as possible within the 12-hour window; total laps determine the winner.
The event offers four entry categories: individual, team of two, team of four, and a separate fun run/walk. Individual and team entries accumulate laps over 12 hours and may alternate or run together. The fun run consists of a single lap; dogs on leashes are permitted in the fun run.
The course is a prepared mountain trail with no water station on the route. A designated start and finish area provides space for refueling, hydration, and resting between loops. Additional race village features include a shared hangout area, an aid station and race support, medical support, vendors, and a sports massage station with limited bookings. Toilets are available on site; there are no showers, but a natural pool is nearby. Finishers medals are provided for athletes who complete the 12-hour challenge.
Basic race rules require competitors to complete loops in full and prohibit non-competitors on the course. Slower participants must allow faster competitors to pass. Distances completed by each athlete will be tracked and prizes are awarded for top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
