Rumble In The Jumble III
Rumble In The Jumble III is a timed six hour challenge at Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe, Lincoln LN6 5UU. Participants may run distances from a 5 km turn point up to an ultra marathon within the event time limit.
Distances offered:
- 5 km turn point on the lap
- 10 km two 5 km laps
- Half marathon four laps
- Marathon eight laps
- Ultra marathon nine laps
- Six hour challenge distance covered within the time limit
The course consists of laps of 3.28 miles, mainly along an old railway line on a tarmac path with a short section on the field at the start and finish of each lap. The route is out and back and requires no navigation. Participants may begin their final lap up to six hours after the event start.
A table at the end of each lap supplies water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets are located at the pavilion on the playing field. Parking is available in the car park at Skellingthorpe Community Centre.
On finishing, participants receive a medal and a goody bag. Finishers can choose a medal from a selection used at previous events. The event is licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
