Roxborough Ultras
Roxborough Ultras is a trail ultramarathon held at Roxborough State Park and Sharptail Ridge, scheduled for August 14, 2027. This is the event's second running; the first year recorded 81 registered, 70 starters and 67 finishers. The field is set to 200 participants.
The course runs from Roxborough State Park up Carpenter Peak and over Sharptail Ridge, then down into Waterton Canyon and onto the first two segments of the Colorado Trail past Lenny's Rest. It continues out to the South Platte and Indian Creek in Pike National Forest before returning to finish at Sharptail.
Five aid stations serve the course, with two of those stations visited twice. The longest carry between aid is eight miles, from Indian Creek to DC5. Elevation on course ranges from 5,810 to 8,035 feet. Start access is by charter bus from the Sharptail Ridge area and all parking is at the finish at the Sharptail Ridge Open Space trailhead. No dogs and no pacers are allowed. All participants must carry at least 20 fluid ounces of water on course. On-course nutrition is provided by Open Fuel.
