Rombalds Stride 2027

Rombalds Stride is a 23 Miles trail challenge based in Guiseley, Leeds. The single lap route passes through Esholt, Baildon, Ilkley, Burley Woodhead and Menston and takes in Rombalds Moor, Ilkley Moor and Otley Chevin. The course runs over open moorland and is described as hilly.

The event is organised by the 15th Airedale Scout Group and uses the 15th Airedale Scout HQ LS20 9BT as Race HQ. Entry is limited to 550 participants. Minimum age for individual entry is 18 years; members of the Scout or Guide association may enter from age 12 and should provide group and district details on entry. LDWA members should include their membership number. Entry fees range from £25.00 to £42.00 and entry on the day is not available. Entry opens 10:00 on 14 Sep 2026.

Facilities and event notes state that toilets will be available at the start and finish, and refreshments will be provided along the route. Participants are asked to bring a cup to reduce single use plastics. There are no distance markers and there are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage at the event. The organisers say they can cater for different dietary needs at the finish but cannot guarantee against cross contamination at checkpoints.
