Rohan 245 Trail Classic : event description
The Rohan 245 Trail Classic on 24 September 2026 at De Grendel Wine Estate is a fundraising trail event that supports the Rohan Bloom Foundation. The foundation is developing a specialised paediatric palliative care in‑patient hospice in Cape Town to provide palliative care, family support, and dignity for children with cancer and life‑limiting illnesses.
The event offers multiple trail distances with downloadable GPX route files for each course:
- 18 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
A portion of entry fees is allocated to the Rohan Bloom Foundation. Participants receive a finisher’s medal, and podium prizes are awarded to top finishers. Vitality members can earn points for completing the distances: 1500 points for the 18 km run, 600 points for the 10 km run, and 300 points for the 5 km run.
The venue is De Grendel Wine Estate in the Durbanville Wine Valley on Plattekloof Road. Onsite vendors include coffee, food truck options, and pizza. Parking is provided on the grass section next to the dam; participants are asked to follow directions from parking marshals. Late entries are available at registration with an additional fee and do not qualify for medals or prizes.
