Mardi Gras Madness - Dallas

Mardi Gras Madness is a themed running event at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas, Texas, hosted by Bigfoot Running Company. The event offers multiple participation options and festival-style on-course elements such as bead tosses and music. Aid stations are set up as mini block parties and volunteers will hand out beads and support runners. The event proceeds rain or shine and courses may use paved trails, crushed granite, or dirt where necessary.

Participants receive a finisher medal and a race tee for all distances. There is a shirt size guarantee for registrations completed 10 days before race day. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event; any additional pickup dates will be communicated at least one week before race day.

Awards for the chip-timed 5K and 10K include overall trophies for male and female winners, masters 40+ recognition pins, and age group awards. Age groups start at 10 and under and extend to 70 plus, with first, second, and third place pins in each age group. The awards ceremony is conducted live as runners finish.

A costume contest takes place before the race, judged by audience reaction. Volunteer options include a limited Volunteer then Run role that includes bib, shirt, and finisher medal, and a range of full race volunteer roles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
