2026 Rock Creek Foundation 5k & 10k
This event at Rock Creek Regional Park in Rockville, Maryland offers two measured distances and supports The Rock Creek Foundation. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and also toward the Fall Series. A virtual run option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.

The course uses park trails and includes about 1 mile of paved path and about 2 miles of unpaved trail with rolling hills. The 5k is an out-and-back once, and the 10k is two out-and-backs. Water stations are placed along the courses: five stations on the 10k at approximately miles 0.8, 2, 3.1, 3.9, and 5.1, and two stations on the 5k at approximately miles 0.8 and 2. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the park.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and the event uses chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered before October 28; extras may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fee structure is published, with an increase on October 16 and a further $5 increase on race morning. Race day registration and on-site packet pickup are available. Live results will be posted online and via a QR code at the event. Awards include top three men and women overall and first and second in specified age categories. The Back of the Pack time is listed as 13:00 and is used for series placement rather than as a cutoff.
