RNLI Tower Run 2026
The RNLI Tower Run takes place at 22 Bishopsgate in London, a location of historical significance as the site where the RNLI was founded in 1824. Participants face a vertical course inside one of the city's prominent landmarks, involving a climb through the heart of the capital to support maritime search and rescue efforts.
The event consists of a single vertical distance:
- 58 floors (over 1,500 steps)
Participants may choose to run, walk, or crawl up the stairwell. To manage the flow of the event, runners are organized into staggered waves of up to 60 people, departing at 30-minute intervals. The registration fee includes chip timing, a technical t-shirt, and a finisher's medal awarded at the top of the building.
After reaching the summit, participants have access to a finish area that offers uninterrupted views across the London skyline. There is a fundraising target of £150 for those taking part, which contributes to the charity's work on the UK coastline and the tidal Thames.
