Rising Sun Country Park 10K Trail Run
The event is a 10K trail run held at Rising Sun Country Park, Whitley Road, Benton, NE12 9SS, on Sunday 27th September 2026. The park lies about five miles north east of Newcastle city centre in North Tyneside.
The route runs through grasslands, woodlands and a nature reserve. Trails include a mix of marked and unmarked paths and pass through diverse forest habitats. Runners should expect some steep inclines, wet patches and muddy sections along the course. One controlled dog per runner is allowed as the event is canicross friendly.
On-course support includes marshals and live chip timing with live online results. Finish facilities listed by the organiser include a finish-line snack, finish-line merchandise, event photography and a finisher's medal.
