Rensselaerville Ramble Trail Run & Walk

The Rensselaerville Ramble is a trail run and walk held on September 19, 2026, co-hosted by the Huyck Preserve and the Rensselaerville Library. Net proceeds are shared between the two organizations. The event starts and finishes at the Eldridge Research Center, 284 Pond Hill Road, Rensselaerville, NY 12147.

The course follows trails through the Huyck Preserve and includes views of a large lake, a historic race track, and waterfalls. Routes traverse grassy sections and single-track woodland trails and are offered in these distances:

  • 2 miles
  • 5 miles
  • 8 miles

Registration is available by mail, online, or on race day and follows a tiered fee schedule. Registrants who register by September 1 are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their preferred size; those registering after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. Packet pick-up is handled at the Eldridge Research Center on the day before and on race day. Awards are given to the top finisher in each gender category and to top finishers in each gender age group. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are part of the event programs, and net proceeds support both the Huyck Preserve and the Rensselaerville Library.
