Regal Beagle Ultra
The Regal Beagle Ultra takes place in Akron, Ohio, and highlights the landscapes of the Bath Nature Preserve and the Bath Community Park. The event features a loop-style course that starts and finishes at the Regal Beagle location on Ira Road. Participants traverse a variety of terrains, including wetlands, woodlands, and rolling hills. The ground surface consists of a mix of paved sections, gravel roads, and dirt or grass trails.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 50 km (six loops of approximately 5 miles each)
- 25 km (three loops of approximately 5 miles each)
- 5 miles (a single loop)
Due to construction in 2026, the course has been modified to include more trail sections and slightly less elevation gain, estimated at approximately 300 feet per loop. For the 50 km and 25 km races, there are two aid stations available per loop. The event has a total course limit of 8 hours, and 50 km participants must begin their final loop by 2:30 pm. Pacers are not permitted for any race distance.
All finishers receive a custom medal. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, masters winners, and the top finisher in each age group for all distances. A portion of the race proceeds is donated to the Bath Nature Preserve and the University of Akron Field Station to support capital improvements and local programming.
