About the race
The Red Dirt Rambler is a trail event at 1North Adventure Trails in Shreveport, LA, scheduled for Oct 24, 2026. The course uses dirt single track green trails on rolling terrain with a 9 km loop that has about 430 ft of elevation gain. Historic average temperatures for the date range are listed near 46 to 68 degrees.

Aid stations are placed on the loop with named stops at mile 0/9, mile 4.6, and mile 6.9. Aid station provisions include hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice; one station is water only. Drop bags may be placed near the start and finish area. This is a no cup event and a personal water carrying system is required for all events; a 32 oz capacity is recommended. A headlamp is required for the 60K and 100K distances. Pacers are allowed on the last lap of the 60K and on the last three laps of the 100K. Participants must use designated parking spaces and must notify race staff at the start or finish if they drop early. Awards include finisher medals, a 100K silver buckle, and placings for most distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
