Red Bank Recess Run - 5K & Kids 1 Mile
The Red Bank Recess Run is an untimed community running event in Red Bank, TN organized by Wild Trails. The event begins at the Red Bank Community Center and moves through the Red Bank school campuses and nearby trails. Proceeds from the event benefit Red Bank Elementary School.
The 5K course uses a mix of surfaces including asphalt, gravel, grass, and trail sections, and includes several playful on-course activities such as running up and down bleachers, rounding the bases on the ball field, and a 50 yard dash. Walkers are welcome and the course accommodates a variety of paces.
The kids offering is a 1 Mile fun run held on the Green and Blue loops of the Godsey Ridge Trails. Leo the Lion appears on the trail for encouragement. Red Bank Elementary students participate in the 1 Mile event at no cost.
