Real People Helping People Race
The Real People Helping People event on October 10, 2026 takes place in McElhattan / Lock Haven, Pennsylvania at the Durty Dabber Pavilion. The event includes multiple trail distances and runs on natural singletrack and park trails in McElhattan Nature Park and Zindel Park. Registration closes on October 7, and registrants by August 24 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Race-day registration is available in the morning for a donation. Food is provided for racers after the event and bystanders may attend with a ten dollar donation.
Course details and terrain are described by the organizer. The 10K trail is a loop that starts and finishes at the pavilion, follows wooded singletrack and park trails, and includes sections named Goat Path, Connector, Gut Check, Laurel Trail, Black Diamond and Kellers Bench, with roughly 1500 feet of elevation gain. The 5K follows Creekside Trail into the large loop at McElhattan Nature Park, crosses the creek by bridge, and returns to the pavilion.
