Raid the Hammer is a point-to-point adventure run in Waterdown, Ontario. The event mixes road running, trail running, navigation, and trekking over mixed terrain that includes mud, rock and steep climbs. Teams choose between two course options.

Distances offered:

  • Raid: 20–25 km, intermediate trail running and intermediate to advanced navigation.
  • Half-Raid: 10–15 km, similar elements at roughly half the distance with beginner to intermediate navigation.

Races are entered by teams of two or three. Categories include Open, Coed, Female and Masters; Half-Raid also includes Junior. Masters teams must have an average age over 45. Juniors are 16 and under; one team member may be older than 16.

Entry fees are tiered by Early, Regular and Late registration and are listed per team, not per person. Junior team fees are reduced. Entry fee includes copies of all race maps for each participant, timing chip rental, post-race hot food, event gear (for example T-shirt, socks, headband) and a 2026 day membership for race insurance. Entry fees do not include online transaction charges or HST.

Participants are required to review the event rules and carry the mandatory gear during the race. No pets are allowed on the course or at registration. Awards go to the first-place team in each category and to the top three teams in categories with at least ten entries; there are also sponsor draw prizes.
