Ragnar Trail Texas Hill Country Individual
The event takes place October 16-17, 2026 at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, TX, set roughly one hour from San Antonio and about two hours from Austin. Races run on trails through Texas Hill Country with prickly pear cacti, rolling hills, and open night skies. The venue is a working cattle ranch; occasional livestock may be present on or near the trails.
Distances and race formats:
- Single Loop: 4.9 miles, Yellow Loop, 617 ft elevation gain.
- 6H Ultra: timed 6-hour event on a 15.1-mile loop, complete as many loops as possible.
- 24H Ultra: timed 24-hour event on a 15.1-mile loop, complete as many loops as possible.
The Yellow Loop follows smooth singletrack with switchbacks, a notable climb around mile 2.5, shade near the top, a water station, and a runnable descent. The trails are built for mountain biking and are described as well maintained.
On-site amenities at Ragnar Village include camping, bonfires and s'mores, music, yoga, prizes, food trucks, and a few showers. BYOB is allowed. Weather guidance notes sunny daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s F and cooler evenings dropping into the 50s.
