Bandera Endurance Trail Race
Bandera Endurance Trail Race is held January 9-10, 2027 at Hill Country State Natural Area in Bandera, Texas. The event offers the following distances:
- 100k
- 50k
- 25k
- Youth 1 mile
The main loop is a 50k course. The 100k is two full 50k laps, the 50k is one full lap, and the 25k follows the common start then uses a cutover after the Equestrian aid station before rejoining the main route. All laps run counterclockwise. Expect roughly 3,300 feet of elevation gain and an equal loss per 50k lap, with short steep hills, rocky terrain, and sections of sotol. There is one consistently flat section near YaYa aid station.
Aid stations provide full support at several locations. Lodge, Equestrian, and Chapas aid stations offer hot and cold food and drinks; Boyles, Nachos, and YaYa offer regular food and drinks. The race is cupless; runners should bring their own cup or bottle. Drop bag delivery by the race is available for the 100k only to two aid stations. Pacers are allowed for 100k runners after completing one 50k loop; pacers must register.
The 100k serves as a Western States qualifier when completed within 18 hours, which allows entry to the Western States lottery process. All races are chip timed and chips are worn on the ankle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
