Bandera Endurance Trail Race
Bandera Endurance Trail Race is a multi-distance trail weekend held at Hill Country State Natural Area in Bandera, Texas. The 2027 event is scheduled for January 9-10, 2027. Distances offered include:
- 100k
- 50k
- 25k
- Youth 1 mile
The main loop is a 50k circuit; the 100k is two full laps, the 50k is one lap, and the 25k follows the same start before taking a cutover after the Equestrian aid station. All laps run counterclockwise. Expect roughly 3,300 feet of elevation gain and loss per 50k lap (about 6,600 feet for the 100k). The terrain is rocky with native sotol and steep, short hills; there is a mostly flat section near YaYa aid station.
Aid stations are fully supported and spaced around the course; Lodge, Equestrian, and Chapas offer hot and cold food and drinks while other stations offer regular food and drinks. The event is cupless; runners should carry their own cup or bottle. Organizers provide marked course routing with caution tape, arrows, and confidence markers. Drop bag service is provided for the 100k to specific aid stations; no drop bag delivery is provided for the 50k or 25k. Pacers are allowed for 100k runners after completing one full 50k loop, with registration required. Completing the 100k within the specified qualifying time makes a runner eligible for the Western States lottery. Youth mile is untimed and provides a finisher medal.
