The start and finish are on grass. The course is mixed terrain with gentle slopes and is mainly on gravel paths. The route runs through Longrun Meadow and offers views across Taunton. The course is a double lap and includes grass, tarmac and gravel or woodland paths. In wet weather parts of the site and Longrun Meadow may become soft, muddy or have flooded patches, which can affect underfoot conditions and access.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. The site is described as wheelchair accessible with assistance and suitable for pushchairs. Parking on site is limited; accessible parking for Blue Badge holders is available within the college car park. Public transport options serve the Castle School area and Taunton rail station is within walking distance.

Age and entry notes: the main entries are for participants aged 16 and over. Child entry is for ages 6 to 15 and must be completed by a parent or guardian. Children under 6 may attend free with an adult but are not registered participants. The 10k is chip timed and finishers receive a medal. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign and training support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
