Glasgow Pretty Muddy 5k

The Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event at Strathclyde Country Park organised by Cancer Research UK to raise money for cancer research. The event combines a short running route with mud and obstacle elements and includes a fundraising target and event support.

The course starts on a gravel path by the Watersports Centre and finishes on grass by the Sandy Beach car park. The route is a relatively flat loop around Strathclyde Loch, heading to the north end of the loch then returning down the eastern shore. There is approximately 1 km between the start and finish areas; in wet weather parts of the site may become soft.

Practical details include a start area on the grass next to the Clyde Car Park and a finish next to the Beach Car Park. General car parking at the venue is limited; blue badge parking is available about 150 m from the event on tarmac. Electric charging points are located in the Water Sports Centre car park. The nearest bus stop is on Strathclyde Road and Motherwell train station is about a 25 minute walk.

Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes. Participants must be at least 13 years old. Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking; dogs are not allowed and the course is not wheelchair accessible. Entry prices shown include an adult earlybird fee of £11.24 and a child earlybird fee of £6.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, preparation materials and a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
