Race for Life Northampton at Abington Park

Race for Life Northampton is a running event held at Abington Park in Northampton. The event offers three distances:

  • 10k
  • 5k
  • 3k

The course starts and finishes at the top of the field next to the event parking and runs through Abington Park on a mix of paved pathways and grass. Much of the route goes off the main path and across grass, and sections can become boggy in poor weather. The start and finish areas are on the same grass field.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, parking and bike racks. Bag drop and showers are not available. Dogs are allowed. Blue badge parking and volunteer parking are available in the event car park; parking is on grass and drop offs can be made there. The nearest train station is Northampton, about four miles from the park, and the park is served by multiple bus routes.

The event is chip timed. Entry fees range from £5.50 to £8.74 and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
