Peak District Winter Adventure Race
This event is the fourth race in a winter series held in the Peak District. It combines trail running and mountain biking with map and compass navigation. Riders and runners choose which checkpoints to visit within a set time limit; there is no fixed route or minimum distance.
Event options include run-only, bike-only, and combined run and bike formats with differing time limits. Typical entry prices listed are £30 for run-only and bike-only, £35 for the shorter duo run and bike option, and £50 for the longer duo run and bike option. Early bird pricing applies until 30 November. Bike hire is available from the official provider, with hire prices from £42, on-site support, and a damage waiver. Hire must be booked in advance. Anyone using an e-bike must declare this and will be classified as non-competitive.
Entries can be individual or as teams of two, three or four. The organiser provides map collection and a score format where participants plan their own route between checkpoints. Participants are expected to carry mandatory safety kit. Facilities at the venue include onsite parking, an indoor hall for shelter, catering with hot and cold food, and toilets with showers and changing areas.
