About the race
Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half is an evening trail event held on Tuesday 23 March 2027 around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. The event is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and is based at Swinsty Moor Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP. The car park is pay and display at £3 for six hours, card only.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon Two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. Climb 800 ft.
- 10 km One lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. Climb 400 ft.
- 5 km One lap of Swinsty Reservoir. Climb 200 ft.
Maximum entrants are limited to 150. Entries open 1 July 2026 and close 22 March 2027. The entry fee shown is £15.00 and entries are not accepted on the day. Registration takes place at the Punk Panther gazebo by the toilet block in the car park and a short race brief is given after registration closes.
The course will not be taped. Water is available at the gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The finish line is at the edge of the woods before the road to the car park. Every finisher receives a medal. Competitors are asked to carry a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director’s contact saved and to keep the phone switched on. Final instructions are emailed to competitors the week before the event and results are published online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
