Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half
This is a headtorch trail event based at Swinsty Moor Car Park (North Lane, LS21 2NP) that follows paths around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. The event offers three route options and measured climb values for each.
- Half Marathon - two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs.
- 10 km - one lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs.
- 5 km - one lap of Swinsty Reservoir.
Climb for the routes is approximately 800 ft for the half marathon, 400 ft for the 10 km, and 200 ft for the 5 km. The course will not be taped. Water is available at the Punk Panther gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The finish line is located at the edge of the woods before the road back to the car park. Every finisher receives a medal.
Practical details: registration is at the Punk Panther gazebo by the toilet block at the car park entrance and toilets are in the car park. The car park is pay and display, cost £3 for six hours and accepts card payments only. Required kit includes a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director’s number stored; competitors are asked to keep their phone on at all times. Maximum entrants are 150 and the minimum age is 16. Entry fee is £15 and entries are limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
