Powderhouse Challenge
The Powderhouse Challenge is a community fundraising event on November 21, 2026 at Powderhouse Hill in South Berwick, Maine. The event supports the Marshwood High School Ski Team and combines hill climbing with community activities.
Participants may walk up and down Powderhouse Hill as many or as few times as they wish during the four hour event. There is no minimum or maximum number of climbs and no required pace. The format is noncompetitive and focused on participation and support for the team.
Registered participants receive a BBQ lunch, a long sleeve event T shirt, and automatic entry into raffles. The day includes music, a campfire, and ski tuning offered by donation. Participants may create optional fundraising pages to collect sponsorships for individual climbs, and donations to the team are accepted from supporters who do not participate.
Registration fees stated for the event are Adults (18 and over) $40 and Kids (under 18) $30. Funds raised help cover training, coaching, equipment, competition, and related costs for the Marshwood High School Ski Team while also creating a community gathering around the local ski hill.
